We have just arrived in Portimao, Portugal: Continent-Continent! We made this! Old 72nd built sail boat made from fibreglass but entirely epoxy and therefore quite more reliable, she has very gracious lines. We have made the leg for 34 days of sailing three of witch were with engine. By the way the engine has shown itself as brilliant, it is Volvo Penta MD2B with raw pump - old marine engine without any electrical stuff hinged on, but entirely mechanical.
We are safe in Portimao, Portugal - most attractive place of the country. We did not get any serious breaks during the sailing across the ocean except normal routing repairs. We are proud and quite satisfied with the boat and old traditions of shipbuilding. We had only one stop on Azores to get some rest an make one crew member change, but stuff of the basic crew remains straight: me, Katerina and Denis. We sail Turkey!
